Optimizing PDFs with Nitro
There are few different techniques that can be used to reduce the size of an existing PDF document. Below we will list the most common:
Using the 'Save As' function instead of just 'Save'

Differences between Save & Save As
Generally, it is best to use the 'Save As' function when you have finished all necessary editing for your particular PDF.
To do this:
- Click on the File tab located in the top left-hand corner.
- Select Save As.
Use the 'Optimize Document' feature
Nitro Pro has an inbuilt PDF Optimizer which can remove unwanted objects from you PDF such as annotations, JavaScript, embedded fonts, etc., as well as change the level of compression used in your images, all of which can help reduce your file size.
To do this:
