Creating App Password

To sign into Outlook or other apps installed on your computer or smartphone, you’ll need to create an app password. When prompted by the app, enter the app password instead of your work or school account password.

You can use the same app password with multiple apps or create a new app password for each app.

1. Go to https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/AppPasswords.aspx

2. Sign in using your work account.

3. Click create.

4. In the popup window, enter a name then click next.

5. You will then be given a generated password. Click copy password to clipboard then right click the password and click Copy. Paste it somewhere safe.

6. Once you are done, click close.
