EPM Add-in for BPC Installation Guide
VPN Installation:
1. Download the VPN client on this link: https://forticlient.com/downloads
2. Open the downloaded VPN client then follow the instructions on the screen to install.
3. After the installation, run the newly installed VPN client.
4. Click on Remote Access then click on Configure VPN.
5. On the New VPN Connection form, enter the following info:
VPN: SSL-VPN
Connection Name: Educatius
Remote Gateway: 62.181.196.210
Client Certificate: None
6. Once finished entering the VPN info, click on Save.
7. Select the newly created VPN connection, enter the Username and Password provided, then click on Connect.
8. Once the connection is successful you may now use the SAP plugin on Excel.
Add New User Account on SAP:
1. Install VPN client (found above) on your computer (not the client's computer).
2. After installing, login using this credentials:
Username: infomotion@educatius.local
Password: Zejl(Q_9g8+lHg8
3. Download and install SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Client (https://exploriuseducation.sharepoint.com/:u:/s/IT/ESH40dDPwUhForfR0s_VP4EB8tsbiZIWaGIAgeYtsoxP1w?e=w2TlCN). If it asks to install .NET Framework 2.0, download and install http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/download/details.aspx?id=6523
4. After the installation is done, open the newly installed client and once the connection Wizard appears, enter this IP address for the server name: 10.100.60.5 then click Next.
5. Next, make sure Use a Different User ID and Password is selected and enter the same credentials above, the one that you also used on logging in for the VPN then click Next.
6. Make sure Educatius is selected as the Default Environment then click Next, then click Finish to close the connection wizard window.
7. If you see a window that says Select Environment with Educatius selected, just click OK below, then wait for the app to load.
8. Once the app loads successfully, expand Educatius, then expand Security, then click on Users.
9. On the right side of the client, under User Tasks, click Add New User.
10. Expand Educatius, then expand Educatius folder, then expand Users.
11. Search for the user using the Search tool below. If the user shows up and highlighted, click on the > icon and make sure the user appears on the right list box then click Next.
12. On the user details, click Next.
13. On Assignments tab, under A. Assign to Teams, select AdminTeam under Team, then highlight the user under Available Users then click the > icon.
14. under B. Assign to Task Profiles, select All_Tasks under Task Profile, then highlight the user under Available Users then click the > icon. Click Next once done.
15. Then click Apply once done. The user should have access now.
EPM Add-in installation:
1. Download the EPM installation package on this link: https://infocloud.infomotion.de/index.php/s/hmgCdYOlpToVxvV (Password is: INFOMOTION).
2. Uninstall if there is a previous version installed on your computer before installing the new one. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps then search for EPM in the search bar. Once it appears, click on it then click Uninstall.
3. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file, then go to the directory where the contents are extracted, open the installer (choose the 64-bit installer if the Microsoft Office version is 64-bit, otherwise choose the 32-bit installer).
4. Once the installer is running, click Next to accept the terms of license, then choose to install the application for all users who are using the computer then click Next.
5. On the next step, under Select an EPM Solution, choose SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, version for the Microsoft platform then select English as the Language.
6. Just click Next few times until you click on Install.
7. On the popup that says "Register the EPM Add-in Launcher as default Office launcher for BPF?", just click on Yes.
8. After the installation is finished, open Excel then click Blank workbook or open any spreadsheets.
9. Click on the EPM tab above, then click on Log On.
10. Click the 3-dotted button next to connection dropdown.
11. On the Connection Manager popup, click on Create.
12. On the Create Connection form, enter the following info:
Connection Type: Planning and Consolidation, version for the Microsoft platform
Connection Name; Consolidation - SQL
Server URL: http://10.100.60.5/sap/bpc/
13. Once finished entering the connection info, click on Connect then on the prompt for logon, enter the provided Username and Password then click on Log On.
14. Once loading of the environments and models is successful, choose the Environment and Model then click on OK.
